Spirit Passage
Welcome to the home page of Spirit Passage
Spirit Passage comes in the form of a labyrinth. A labyrinth
has but one entry point, one destination, one way to and from that destination
– one passage.
Spirit Passage is an aid to meditation. A wooden hand labyrinth
(see photo below) provides an ideal and portable means to initiate meditation
any time. A walkable labyrinth at your home, church or other centre, will
serve many people of any age many times over.
The labyrinth is full of symbolism. Embarking on your meditation,
you will surely find much symbolism that pertains to you and your situation.
Here are some ideas to get you started.

You think you are near the destination (the centre) only
to find that you must return almost to the beginning.

The journey takes longer than you anticipate.

You slip off the pathway and find you are heading in the
wrong direction.

You slip off the pathway because you are traveling too
fast.
-
You must travel the same road often before feeling at ease.
-
Turning points and longer stretches symbolize life’s
situations.

The set pathway must be accepted to reach the goal.
-
Sometimes the road is bumpy, sometimes smooth.
-
The number of notches, if any, around the edge of the labyrinth
may be significant.

Following the pathway is like following your intuition.

If you take it for what it is, feel the texture of the
entire labyrinth, you will find it is smooth – it is one.
